3D miniature from your photo: how it's made
A custom 3D miniature (also called a 3D figurine or 3D statue from a photo) is a small, full-colour model of a real person, couple, family or pet, designed from a photo and 3D printed. Here's exactly how Sparky3D Craft Co makes one — what it costs, how long it takes, and which photos work best.
How it works, step by step
1. Send a photo
A clear photo of the person, couple, family or pet. Old photos and phone pictures are fine as long as the faces are visible.
2. See a free design preview
The design studio shows your miniature in two styles — stylized and realistic — in about two minutes. Nothing is charged for previews.
3. Refine and approve
Ask for changes to outfits, colours, pose or expression. Printing only starts after you approve the final design.
4. 3D printed in coloured filament
Your figure is FDM 3D printed layer by layer in coloured filament — the colour is in the material, not painted on — and stands on a free black name base.
5. Photos, then delivery
You get photos of the finished piece before it ships, then it's delivered free to your door anywhere in India.
Sizes and prices
Heights are for the figure; every piece also stands on a free 3–4 cm black base with your text. Delivery across India is free.

Which photos work best
- Face clearly visible and in focus — no sunglasses, and not turned far away.
- Good, even light (daylight near a window works well).
- For a full-body figure, a full-length photo helps; if you only have a close-up, we'll design the body and outfit with you.
- For couples and groups, one photo together keeps your pose; separate photos work too.
- Patterned clothes are turned into solid colours, because fine prints don't 3D print cleanly at this size.
Materials, finish and care
- • FDM 3D printed in coloured filament — the colours are in the material, so they won't peel or wash off with normal cleaning.
- • Fine horizontal layer lines are natural to 3D printing and part of the handmade-by-machine look.
- • Details are kept sturdy: very thin chains, straps or wisps of hair are made thicker or left out so nothing snaps.
- • Keep it out of direct sun and heat (like a car dashboard), and dust it with a soft, dry brush.
Questions
How much does a custom 3D miniature cost?
Prices start at ₹3,499 and depend on the product and size — see the table on this page. The design preview is free, delivery across India is free, and the name base is included.
How long does it take?
Typically 10–16 days from ordering to delivery: about 1 day(s) to approve the design, 7–10 days to print and finish, and 2–5 days for the courier.
Is it 3D printed or hand-made?
It's 3D printed (FDM) in coloured filament from a design approved by you. Fine horizontal layer lines are a natural part of the process.
Can I see it before it's made?
Yes. You see a free AI design preview, can ask for changes, and printing only begins after you approve. You also receive photos of the finished piece before shipping.
What if I'm not happy?
Because every piece is custom-made, please read our Refund & Cancellation Policy (linked below) — it explains refunds before shipping and what happens with damaged items.
